Father's Day Activity

Happy (almost) Father’s Day. It’s a great week to celebrate different kinds of families and the many ways we can show love.

This activity will help children think about how they like to give and receive love.

1. Read A Father’s Love by Hannah Holt and Yee Von Chan

2. Ask the child or children: what are some of the different ways the animal dads showed love?

3. What are some ways you like to receive love?

4. How do you like to give love?

5. Hand out the following coloring page. Perhaps they’d like to circle their favorite way to show love from the animal examples provided and/or draw their own.
