Books

The Diamond and the Boy
Told in a unique dual-narrative format, The Diamond and the Boy follows the stories of both natural diamond creation and the life of H. Tracy Hall, the inventor of a revolutionary diamond-making machine. Perfect for fans of Rosie Revere, Engineer, and On a Beam of Light: A Story of Albert Einstein.

A Father's Love
This heartwarming book celebrates the love that fathers and children share in the animal kingdom, while also teaching young readers about colors. Perfect for new babies, new fathers, baby shower gifts, Father’s Day gifts, and for kids who love their dads on any old day.

A History of Underwear with Professor Chicken
Modeled by chickens, we trace the history of underwear from the very first discovery—a Paleolithic nomad whose body was found completely preserved in ice. From there, we look across time and culture in this completely accessible, new take on boring old nonfiction picture books.

Hi, I'm Hannah
I'm a children's author with an engineering degree, and my picture books weave together a love of literature and lifelong learning. They include The Diamond and the Boy (HarperCollins), A Father's Love (Penguin), and A History of Underwear with Professor Chicken (Macmillan). My writing has been selected for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and has earned starred reviews from Booklist and School Library Journal. One of my favorite parts of the job is visiting schools.
